imo this was a major letdown compared to book #1. emilia really thought she was gaslight, gatekeep, girlbossing every person around her when she was actually the only person in the book missing out and being gaslighted, gatekeeped, girlbossed. god this book was fucking ANNOYING to read. i like want to give this a one star but i can't. personally, the way that wrath acted throughout the entire book because of the "curse" (BIG WHOOP BUDDY) and especially the way he acted in chapter 17 and 23, treating emilia like that.... 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
i'm not sure if emilia is the biggest dumbass around or what but this book was really frustrating to the point that the steamy scenes almost weren't worth it. once again the writing wasn't bad, BUT emilia went from 19 in book #1 to literally like 15 years old in book #2. her and wrath act like ~love~ is so important yet they equate the marriage bond and "love" to sex. it's god awful. this book doesn't deserve 3 stars.
